The After School Club has been running in the Jubilee Room attached to St. Monica's Catholic Church since November 2000. The Club was originally funded by NOF and has gone from strength to strength. Cath herself attended St. Monica's Primary School as did her siblings and then her own children. Cool Kids will come into effect as from Monday 16th April 2007. Breakfast Club The children are bought to the Jubilee Room from 7.45am onwards and given breakfast of Cereal, Toast, Milk or Juice. The children are escorted to school for the start of the school day at 9am. After School is offered to all children ranging from Nursery age to Year 6. They are escorted to the Jubilee room by the Playworkers and given snacks with an aim to provide healthy eating. On dry days the children are given the opportunity to play outdoors. They are escorted to St.Monica's school playground and supervised by Playworkers. Those children chosing to stay indoors have a choice of activities including Board games, Role play, Quiet area, Construction, Tv/Video, Snooker etc. Art & Craft is always available with Specialist Acitivities arranged on a regular basis. Places are booked on a regular or ad-hoc basis and fees can be obtained by contacting Cath on 07720 053601 Please see our terms and conditions regarding bookings. Ad-hoc places are available at short notice and an additional fee is payable. |
