After School care is offered to the children of Acrehall Primary School at the Jubilee Room attached to St. Monica's Church on Woodsend Road South. The Club caters for children from Nursery age to 11 and the children are collected from the Nursery whilst the older children are met at the School Hall. They are escorted to the Jubilee Room where they are given a light snack. Breakfast Club Children are bought to the Jubilee Room from 7.45am onwards and given breakfast of Cereal, Toast, Milk or Juice. The children are escorted to school for the start of the school day at 9am. After School is offered to all the children ranging from Nursery age to Year 6. They are escorted to the Jubilee room by the Playworkers and given snacks with an aim to provide healthy eating. On dry days the children are given the opportunity to play outdoors. They are escorted to St.Monica's school playground and supervised by Playworkers. Those children chosing to stay indoors have a choice of activities including Board games, Role play, Quiet area, Construction, Tv/Video, Snooker etc. Art & Craft is always available with Specialist Acitivities arranged on a regular basis. |
